    Demystify Death

Seasonal walks and small group in-person and virtual workshops

    Workshops include:

    • Seasonal forest bathing Demystify Death Walks in Glencarlyn Park in Arlington that connect the seasons of nature, the seasons of our lives, grief, and mortality. Through contemplative reflections and quiet observation, we discover how to live more fully today, opening our hearts to wonder and joy. I use a sliding scale pricing system for my nature walks; please review the scale before registering for a 90-minute walk; walks are $15, $30, or $45. View the summer nature walk flyer for details.
    • Virtual small-group 60- and 90-minute End-of-Life Planning 101 and Legacy letter workshops, from the comfort of your own home. Simple acts of planning in advance give you a sense of calm, knowing that you have put your wishes on paper. It is a sacred gift to yourself and to your family members. Discounts available for couples or pairs of friends who enroll together. Participants who later enroll in my 1:1 end-of-life planning receive a discount.
    • In-person 90-minute Intro Sessions: I can come speak with your existing small group (e.g., book club, bridge group, breakfast club, Bible study cohort, or golf buddies). We set the date, you serve as the host, and you ensure everyone shows up! Participants who later enroll in my end-of-life planning sessions receive a discount. Contact me for pricing; rates available for small groups and large groups.

    What participants say

"I really found it valuable to reflect on life, death and resilience in nature as it relates to my own human experience."
    – TL
"I genuinely enjoyed the winter nature walk through the park. Well-planned, well-executed, and a fantastic group!"
    – DM
"While I was familiar with the concept of Legacy Letter writing, the group experience, dedicated space and kind guidance from Kristen created a needed container to transform ideas and thoughts to words on a page. I left with a belief that Legacy Letters are a powerful way in which we can learn about our life through contemplating our death. I highly recommend the experience for anyone who is curious about exploring this potent tool for distilling values exploring some of life's most important questions."
